More downtown Allegan

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago in between the horrid heat.

Our river front.  It's my go-to "happy" place.  The city works hard on keeping those fountains in good working order.

The lamp posts have either flower baskets hanging from them or, as you can see above, new Perrigo banners.  They are celebrating their 125th year.

The boardwalk is a favorite strolling spot for many people in town.  Including dogs.

A view of the gazebo from the river.

Squint your eyes and you can see people sitting at the picnic tables way back there having lunch.

Here is the reason our hanging baskets and planters look so wonderful.

Our iron bridge.

When you're exhausted after shopping in downtown Allegan and just can't take another step - have a seat.  If you do this during the noon hour you'll be able to see a ton o' people.  Wave and say "hey."

Here's a better picture of those Perrigo banners I was talking about.  The L.Perrigo Company makes health and beauty aides.  Think vitamins, cold remedies, etc.

Allegan is a small town and that's what I love about it.  I haven't come close to showing you everything yet so stay tuned.

    1. Years ago we were on a car trip with Lisa and stayed in a very cool little town out east.
Lisa said, "you know why we like this town so much? It's just like home."
      So true.
