So apparently the problem was my name. Not that Ellen isn't lovely and melodic but apparently the "lives" portion was already taken.
I swear I never saw that. So after two geek interventions; one in person with Jeff and Diane (thanks, guys) and another via the phone (Jerms, you're my man), I'm accessible now.
I really liked Ellen Lives! but after all that frustration I'm "alive" so we'll stick with it, eh?
A blog about a woman living in a medium sized city in Michigan who has a lot to say about a lot of things.

Awesome blog!
Welcome to the first post in my new blog, "Ellen Lives." I hope this is the first of many. Don't expect bells and whistles because bells belong in churches and nobody really likes the sound of a whistle.
I live in Allegan, MI which is in the southwestern part of the state, just north of Kalamazoo. Allegan's population is around 5,000. We always tell people that but I don't believe we ever actually reached 5,000.
I've lived here all but 10 years of my life and I love it. All four traffic lights, the one grocery store we have in town and what seems like hundreds of churches.
A quick explanation of the title for this blog. I had a few ideas and then asked friends for suggestions. My buddy, Juls, down in AL suggested this one and I liked it right away. Juls is also the friend that has been pushing me toward the world of blogging.
Oh, yeah, the explanation. I tend to wander. I was diagnosed with breast cancer almost 5 years ago and during that initial period a life motto came to me in the middle of the night: Find it, Fix it, Move on! No matter what, I was going to LIVE. So when Juls suggested this title, I grabbed on.
I have a lot to say. I have opinions. I've had experiences - mostly good and a few bad ones.
I like to gab about almost anything so that's what you'll see here except no politics. I'll leave that to the crooks. Oh, did I just actually type that "out loud?" So sorry.
I read other peoples' blogs daily so I hope to keep up with them often.
That's all for now, folks. Come back now, ya hear.
